Throughout his career Mattias has turned complex technical content into logical and understandable language directed towards a variety of stakeholder groups.
Prior to joining Advocacy Strategies, Mattias worked as a Senior Advisor, Public Affairs at Cocomms, a leading communications consultancy in Helsinki.
Between 2009-2013 Mattias worked for Fortum, a listed company and Finland’s largest utility. He was responsible for the broad-scope management of corporate relations related to Fortum’s electricity production portfolio in all countries where Fortum operates, including Russia.
During his four years in Brussels, Mattias gained invaluable work experience in EU Affairs by working at both the European Commission and in Public Affairs consulting.
In addition to his mother tongue Swedish, Mattias also has excellent skills (both spoken and written) in Finnish, English and Dutch.
Mattias holds a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam.
